HikeBoard
About HikeBoard

A small board for office numbers.

HikeBoard exists for the few minutes between opening an HR email and replying to it. A salary moved from one number to another. A notice period starts on a date. A form asks for experience in years and months. None of those jobs needs a large spreadsheet, but doing them in your head can be surprisingly awkward.

We make focused calculators for those moments. Each tool asks only for the figures needed to do its piece of maths. The result is shown with a short explanation so you can check what happened. There is no account, saved profile, or attempt to tell you which job to take.

What the site covers

The tool library covers salary hike percentages, target increments, monthly and annual conversions, notice dates, days remaining, employment duration, working-day counts, overtime, leave balances, and a few other everyday office calculations. The articles use normal examples, much like the numbers somebody might message a friend after receiving an offer.

HikeBoard stays away from tax, provident fund, labour-law decisions, and detailed take-home salary promises. Those answers depend on facts a little calculator does not have. We also do not decide whether an internship counts as experience, whether a notice date begins after manager approval, or which salary component a company uses for buyout.

How to use an estimate

Keep the relevant offer letter, employment contract, payslip, or company policy beside the result. Check that you entered the same unit in each box. If one offer gives an annual figure and another gives a monthly figure, convert them before comparing. If a date result affects your resignation or joining, ask HR to confirm it in writing.

Calculations happen in your browser. The values you type into a calculator are not submitted to a HikeBoard account because there are no user accounts here. The site may use normal analytics and advertising technologies as described in the privacy policy.

One rule we keep repeating

HikeBoard is maths, not HR. A neat result can help you ask a clearer question, but it cannot replace the wording in your documents. Company policy can differ, and the signed letter wins when its terms apply.

If you spot a calculation behaving oddly, send the example through the contact page. Please leave out private employee IDs, offer letters, and other personal documents.
